MECA proprietary project-based curriculum that blends art, design thinking, technology, and creative problem solving.

Media & Design Program 

Career and Technical Education (CTE) high school program at MECA concentrated in Media & Design.

In partnership with American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A's Foundation) and Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC), we provide students with a robust educational framework that combines academic learning with high in-demand, industry-relevant skills.

Our  curriculum is designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, preparing them for careers in various media and design fields, as well as business, marketing, and technology

Students have opportunities to build high in-demand professional skill set, earn industry-recognized credentials, and gain work experience.

How to Earn CTE Endorsed High School Diploma

Upon Successful completion of our program, students can receive Career and Technical Endorsement on their High School  Diploma. In New York State, students must meet specific criteria:
  • Completion of a CTE Program coursework

  • 5 Regent exams

  • Technical Exam ( Adobe Photoshop)

  • Portfolio

  • 54+ Work-Based Learning hours

  • Academic Standards: passing required courses in core subjects (English, Math, and Science, History)
